ZOE'S BAT MITZVAH :: temple rodef shalom, mclean, va

Zoe's bat mitzvah was bittersweet for me ~ it was my last one of the season; I have the rest of June and July off and then start back up again at the end of August.  Don't misunderstand me, I love not having to get dressed up on weekends and being able to go to bed before midnight and getting to take my kids' to their activities but I really enjoy my job and the people I get to meet. But Zoe's was a great one to end on.  She had services at Temple Rodef Shalom (which you already know is one of my very favorite temples) and she had her reception at her grandmother's home in Reston, VA.  Her grandmother and grandfather are ridiculously talented gardeners and their backyard had to have been built with entertaining in mind.  After the scary storms we had the week leading up to the big day, Saturday dawned sunny and clear.  The kids hula hooped in the backyard (as did Diane ~ how can you not love a mom who will hula hoop in heels and enjoy doing it?), and the adults mingled and ate and enjoyed catching up.  It's the kind of reception I always envisioned having for my own kids but my daughter is set on having a nighttime reception with a DJ.  Maybe for my son....

I know I always say this about my clients but I loved the Goldberg family.  They were funny and easy going and kind and welcomed me warmly.  Whenever I start to think that perhaps I should start advertising, I remember that I get fantastic clients because I only work off of referrals and the Goldbergs were no exception.

Thank you, Ron, Diane, Zoe and Mia ~ you made my job easy and I love that you completed my b'nai mitzvah season this year.  Enjoy the preview:
