Finding the Moments That Define Your Event

I'm shooting Kayla's bat mitzvah in June but we met up in Bethesda yesterday to do a portrait session. She chose a really cool spot: the courtyard next to the Hyatt on Wisconsin Ave. There is a great yellow sculpture and all the flowers were in bloom.

I continue to be amazed by the 12 and 13-year-old clients I photograph. I remember being that age and there was nothing mature or graceful or even remotely attractive about me. I was all braces and awkward angles and clumsy hair cuts which I gave myself. Kayla was lovely to work with and, thanks to the fact that her mom is also a photographer, she was a complete natural in front of the camera. check her out: [blogshow id=32c9 player=1 autoplay=0 toolbar=0]
