Hannah's Bat Mitzvah
Hannah's bat mitzvah was special to me. I've known Hannah and her family for about 10 years. Her older brother was a year ahead of my daughter in preschool (you can see his bar mitzvah here) and Hannah and my son were in the same class in preschool. Her mom, Amy, and I used to joke about the two of them because they both have....um...strong personalities. Watching the two of them play/argue together made us laugh. I've been privileged to be able to watch Hannah grow up over the years. The past few years have not been easy for her and her family and to see this young woman emerge with her sense of humor intact is, indeed, a wondrous and wonderful thing. She is wise beyond her years and yet still remains as goofy and funny as ever.
Hannah had a candy theme for her reception and Amy and her planner knocked it out of the park. I've photographed a lot of receptions at the Ten Oaks Ballroom but this one was nuts - colorful and fanciful and sweet. There were Oompa Loompas and even Silly String. Sue and her team from Event Planning Resources did a fantastic job.
Thank you, Amy, Lucas and Hannah for allowing me to be part of your day. It was beautiful and touching and so very much fun. Enjoy the sneak peek:
