Finding the Moments That Define Your Event

Bennett's Bar Mitzvah

So…Bennett’s bar mitzvah. You’re about to see what an event planner’s party looks like. I’ve worked with Carin for years and photographed her older son’s bar mitzvah two years ago. It was a beautiful reception but much more low-key than Bennett’s. Carin knows her sons and planned the perfect party for each of them.

Bennett’s reception took place at 2491 and Carin’s team from Events Extraordinaire went over and beyond - and then they kept going. There were details everywhere and they were gorgeous: huge floral arrangements, candles in every size, a seating chart unlike any I’ve ever seen, and table settings that were layered and chic. There was a cotton candy machine (Bennett’s favorite food) and custom touches with Bennett’s name all over: pillows, table toppers, centerpieces, and even a cart that served as the kids’ dessert station (waffles and ice cream). Blake and his team of dancers from Electric Entertainment kept the dance floor full all night - so much so that more than once I found myself caught in a scrum of guests.

The highlight of the evening for me, though, was Jason’s speech. I’d forgotten how moved I was by the one he gave at Justin’s bar mitzvah and I found myself crying this time as well. It’s not for me to repeat what he said but suffice it to say that he loves his children and sees them - really, really sees them.

Thank you, Carin, Jason, Justin and Bennett for allowing me to capture another special day for your family. Enjoy your sneak peek!
